Congratulations to Ty Dehart for finding the Pawkemon this week! Way to go Lion!

This year along with becoming a Leader in Me School we have created a Student Lighthouse Team. The main aim of the SLHT is to create a stronger relationship between the students and teachers and give students a say in matters that affect them.  Members will help share their peers’ ideas, interests, and concerns with the school faculty. Student Lighthouse will also help the students raise funds for school-wide projects that enhance a sense of community within the school. They assist the Lighthouse Team when they are in need of aid.

This year students throughout Payson had the opportunity to take part in Payson City's Fire Prevention Week coloring contest. Wilson had many students summit art work and this year’s winner are for our school are Kendra Broderick, Jose Valdovinos, Knighton Godfrey, Abby Sorensen, Taihani Campbell, Isaac Morrill, and Lupe Corona. Way to go Lions!

On Wednesday this week the staff and students wanted to take a moment to thank Mr. Rawlings for all he does for our school. Way to go Lions!

UPSTART is a free, technology-delivered kindergarten readiness program that will give your child a fun start in reading, math, and science (with a focus on reading) in just 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

Second grade had the opportunity to have the Hogle Zoo outreach program visit their classrooms.

Last week Superintendent Rick Nielsen come to visit Wilson Elementary. He met with Mrs. Cram's first grade class and read with several of the students. Thanks for all you! Way to go Lions!

Congratulations to all the students who received certificates in Leadership, Academics, and Attendance! Thank you to all the parents who came to show support and celebrate their student's accomplishments! Way to go Lions!

Thursday, October 12th, from 3:00-9:00pm, is our first Parent Teacher Conferences night of the school year! We are looking forward to talking with you about your child, celebrating their accomplishments, and making goals to help them progress. Please sign up for a time to meet with your child's teacher.
