We Want YOUR Voice on our Wilson Elementary Community Council!

Wilson Elementary's Community Council is a group of parents, teachers, and administrators. By Utah State Law, every public school must have a school community council and must hold elections for its members at the start of every school year.

School Community Council members will work with a group of at least 4 parents and 2 educators to:
- Create Wilson Elementary's School Improvement Plan and Trust Lands Plan. This includes determining how Wilson Elementary will spend its annual Utah State Trust Lands money.
- Discuss and present ideas that will help Wilson Elementary continue to improve each year.
- Share concerns and brainstorm solutions.

The Community Council meets once a month, on the 4th Tuesday at 3:15 PM. Each term is two years.

We are now accepting applications for parents who would like to serve on Wilson's Community Council. Parents can respond to the link in the email sent or send an email to melissa.jorgensen@nebo.edu with the following information if you are interested in serving: First and Last Name, Phone Number, Email, Your Child or Children that attend Wilson Elementary.

If more parents are interested than positions available, an election will be held where parents will vote. We are looking to fill at least 3 positions on our council.

ALL applications are due by Friday, September 4th at 5:00 PM.

Start getting back on your school sleep schedule, check the school calendar, make your transportation plans, and get ready for those school-morning routines. Most importantly, start thinking about what you’re excited for this year! Our flight to Destination: Success is almost ready for boarding. We can’t wait to see you!”

Attention, Wilson passengers! We are just 4 days away from takeoff! It's time to secure your boarding pass for Destination Success! Your school donations help provide classroom resources, technology, activities and other opportunities for our Wilson Lions! Every contribution makes a difference as we work together to give our students an amazing year! Four days to go, Lions. Get ready to SOAR! A $35 Donation Fee per student can be made at SchoolCash Online or in person at Wilson Elementary in the office. The donation money is used to cover the extra costs for a variety of activities and field trips for students. Before making your donation, you will need to create an account in SchoolCash Online using your child's student number. This number can be found by clicking on your student's name in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. You can also make donations in the front office using check, cash or card. Free and Reduced lunch applications are now open for the 26-27 school year! 

Families can now apply using one of the following methods.

Use the LINQ app on your phone.  Log into the app, scroll down and you will see "Free & Reduced Meal Application"
Go to LINQCONNECT.COM (http://linqconnect.com/), Click the "School Services" drop down menu and then choose "Free & Reduced Meal Application"
Remember, if families had a free or reduced eligibility last school year, they still need to apply.  The eligibility does not carry over from year to year. 
The CHILD NUTRITION WEBSITE (https://www.nebo.edu/page/child-nutrition)has useful information about our program, menus etc.

Kindergarten had a picnic for "P" day. They enjoyed their lunches outside.

Career Day was a huge success. Wilson's students had the opportunity to visit different locations to learn about different careers. We had a judge, police officer, fireplace builder, candle maker, landscaper and many more. Thanks to Mrs Wright for coordinating this event for our students to enjoy and learn.
