The ACT for juniors will be administered on Wednesday, March 19th at 7:50 AM sharp. Prior to the test, students should have created accounts in their History classes or received the necessary packet to do so, and updated their Chromebooks. Room assignments will be posted on the main school doors on Tuesday, March 18th. Students need to bring a fully-charged Nebo Chromebook, a personal ID, and No. 2 pencils with erasers. Note, there will be no school for sophomores or seniors on March 19th. Juniors taking the ACT must arrive on time, as late students will not be permitted to test. The exam is expected to last at least 3 hours, or 4-5 hours for students with accommodations. Only students without an issued SHS Chromebook can borrow one, so ensure you bring your assigned, charged Chromebook. Smartwatches and cell phones are not allowed during the test. Approved calculators may be used, but aren't necessary since the test includes a built-in calculator. For additional information, see Mrs. Green in the library.
Juniors preparing for the ACT need to update their Chromebooks by following these steps: click the open circle in the bottom left corner, go to settings, scroll down to About ChromeOS, click Check for updates, and restart after the update finishes. It's crucial for students to create their accounts for the ACT; failing to do so will prevent them from accessing their scores online. Please double-check that this has been completed.

Our AP Art students, led by Mr. Nathan Hawks, recently embarked on an inspiring field trip to the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and the illustration department at Studies Weekly. At the museum, they explored diverse contemporary artworks, gaining fresh perspectives and creative inspiration. Their visit to Studies Weekly provided insight into the world of educational publishing, highlighting the role of illustration in communicating ideas. This unique experience enriched their understanding of art in various contexts and sparked new ideas for their own projects.
