LIA sponsored a lunchtime activity on Friday where students could remember loved ones and learn about Dia de los Muertos.




Ofrendas for "Dia de Los Muertos" are displayed in the library, counseling office, attendance office, Main office, trackers office, among others. The main ofrenda is located in the front of the school in the main building. The ofrendas were made by students from Mr. Cardenas' Spanish 1, AP Spanish, and Mrs. Nava-Zapien's Latinos in Action.


Congratulations to our Red Devil Ballroom Dance Team for their amazing performance at the Danzinskule competition this weekend. There were 7 High School that attended and 7 of our dancers advanced to the Finals and placed in the top 6 couples, For Samba and Viennese Waltz; Ben Bernard and Autumn Cook, for Swing; Ben Barnard and Avery Parker, and for Viennese Waltz; Patrick Johnson and Maddy Clayton and Gabe Rammell and Saira White. Andrew Clay and Saira White also received the Dedicated Dancer award for Springville High. Way to go SHS RDB!






Winter Guard Clinics will be held Dec 3-5th in the SHS Upper Gym from 3-5pm. There is no cost to attend and 6-12th grade students are invited to come and learn the basics of Color Guard. No experience necessary.

Monday evening's Hope Walk was a resounding success. The Hope Squad walked down Main Street, carrying signs promoting hope, kindness, and available resources. Our mission was to raise awareness about the Hope Squad and suicide prevention, and we believe we achieved that goal! #RDP #fuelthefire





People of the Pacific class had a visitor from Samoa. Uncle Lele taught the students about Samoan cultural cues when entering a room with elders and sitting together. He showed the students some simple fire knife moves as well as a Samoan Sasa dance. He ended his visit by giving every student an ie lavalava.


The Springville High School Softball information meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 6th at 3pm in the SHS Cafeteria. Winter open gym and season schedules will be given out then. If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Jill Thackeray.

First period 7:50-9:10 am (80 minutes)
Second period 9:15 - 10:35 am (80 minutes)
Lunch period 10:35- 11:35 am (60 minutes)
Third period 11:40 - 1pm (80 minutes)
Fourth period 1:05 - 2:25pm(80 minutes)


SHS Dance Expectations
-No backpacks/bags allowed (small purses are acceptable and subject to search)
-No outside food or drink
-No re-admittance if you leave the designated areas
-No glow sticks allowed
-Any removal of clothing or alterations to clothing will not be acceptable or allowed, and you may be asked to leave the dance. Shirts are required.
-Any unsafe or inappropriate behavior will result in dismissal from the dance and exclusion from the next dance. Examples of unsafe behavior include, but are not limited to: crowd surfing, sitting or standing on shoulders, pushing or slam dancing, throwing objects - including each other
