Mummifying...Stuffed Animals?

Last week, if you had walked down the 6th grade hallway, you would have found students cleaning stuffed animals, taking out the stuffing, and wrapping them up in toilet paper. Why? The students are learning all about ancient Egypt and the customs of its ancient people. To make the process of mummifying come alive (especially during the Halloween holiday), the students went through each step of the mummifying process using old stuffed animals. The students had a blast and learned a lot through this hands-on activity. If you see a Wilson 6th grader, ask him/her about mummifying stuffed animals!
