Shoes for Africa

Submitted by cami.chang on

Our school recently helped in efforts to collect shoes for people in Africa. Each classroom was provided with a box to collect shoes, and the front office had boxes as well. While the average number of pairs of shoes that are usually collected by elementary schools is around 500 pairs, our school collected 960 pairs! What an incredible act of service. Mrs. Cook's 3rd grade class collected the most pairs at 157 pairs--wow! Even though Mrs. Cook's class did it for the service and not for a reward, because of their tremendous efforts they received a donut party courtesy of Mr. Rawlings.

Science Fair Time!

Submitted by cami.chang on

It's time for the school science fair! This afternoon from 1:55-2:45pm parents and family members are welcome to come to the east gym of the school to see all of the hard work our 5th and 6th graders have put into their science fair projects. Tomorrow morning is the science fair itself, with judges coming to evaluate the projects. Good luck to all!

Pawkemon Finder!

Submitted by cami.chang on

Each Wednesday, our school Pawkemon is hidden somewhere in or near the building, and the first student to find it receives a prize. Last week, the Pawkemon was hidden on Wednesday morning and wasn't found until Friday! Congratulations to Javin Terry, the winner of the Pawkemon last week!
