Jodi Terry, kindergarten teacher at Wilson Elementary, recently won the PEAK award for January! "Grandma Pam" nominated her for her dedication to students, kind smile, and happy, helping spirit. Thanks for all you do, Mrs. Terry! Wilson truly wouldn't be the same without you.

Our school recently helped in efforts to collect shoes for people in Africa. Each classroom was provided with a box to collect shoes, and the front office had boxes as well. While the average number of pairs of shoes that are usually collected by elementary schools is around 500 pairs, our school collected 960 pairs! What an incredible act of service. Mrs. Cook's 3rd grade class collected the most pairs at 157 pairs--wow! Even though Mrs. Cook's class did it for the service and not for a reward, because of their tremendous efforts they received a donut party courtesy of Mr. Rawlings.
Yesterday we saw so many wonderful science fair projects, and we are proud of every student who participated! We love seeing the science fair bring out the curiosity, inventiveness, and creativity of our students here at Wilson. Here are the students who have advanced to the next stage--the district science fair! Congratulations!
