5th Grade Participates in Hope of America

This past week, our 5th grade students were invited to attend and participate in the annual Hope of American program. They practiced songs, actions, and more in preparation for this event, and they were able to show their amazing talents at the program Tuesday night at BYU. They had a lot of fun and represented Wilson Elementary well. Awesome work, lions!

5th Grade Hershey Track Meet

5th grade went to the Hershey Track Meet last week and had a blast! We have some talented, athletic 5th graders at our school, and they enjoyed being able to show that off. Way to go, 5th grade lions!

Kindergarten End-of-Year Assessment


Kindergarteners in Mrs. Terry's AM and PM kindergarten classes are asked to sign up for a time during the last full week of May to complete end-of-year assessments. Please take a minute to sign up on the Google Doc! Each assessment should take about 20 minutes, and parents are welcome to drop off the student for that time or wait in the hall for him/her. See you then!

Summer Coding Workshop for 6th Graders

This summer, Jr. High school students (current 6th-8th graders) are invited to attend a fun 2-day workshop learning to code using’s App Lab and BBC’s microbit. Students will use App Lab to create apps that can be published and shared to run on any computer, tablet, or smartphone with a modern browser.  The BBC's microbit is a small hardware processing device (about 1/2 the size of a credit card). Projects will include: LED message display, thermometer, compass, connection to external LEDs, composing music, etc.
