Our school recently helped in efforts to collect shoes for people in Africa. Each classroom was provided with a box to collect shoes, and the front office had boxes as well. While the average number of pairs of shoes that are usually collected by elementary schools is around 500 pairs, our school collected 960 pairs! What an incredible act of service. Mrs. Cook's 3rd grade class collected the most pairs at 157 pairs--wow! Even though Mrs. Cook's class did it for the service and not for a reward, because of their tremendous efforts they received a donut party courtesy of Mr. Rawlings.
Congratulations to Alexis Weight for finding our Pawkemon this week!
