These talented students entered the Payson City Fireman's coloring contest and won for their grade level! Their prize was a fun lunch with the firefighters at the fire station and a ride in the fire truck. Great job lions!
Nebo Education Foundation board members meet each month to review and award grant requests, consider fund-raising avenues, and other items that advance the educational opportunities for Nebo School District students. The Nebo Education Foundation functions through generous donations made by individuals and businesses.
Wilson Lions are working hard to set Wildly Important Goals or WIGS. Early last month Mr. Rawlings went to each class to introduce our two school-wide WIGS. As a school, we have set an Attendance WIG: 90% of the students at Wilson Elementary will have 93% on-time attendance by the end of Term 1 (October 26th).
Our Student Lighthouse attended a Leadership Conference at BYU last week. They were able to meet and work with students from other schools. We appreciate them representing Wilson in a positive way. Way to go Lions!
Wilson Elementary Student Lighthouse have a very important role at our school. Members help share their peers’ ideas, interests, and concerns with the school faculty. They also help with school wide projects that enhance a sense of community within the school. They assist the Teacher Lighthouse Team when they need aid.
Thursday October 25th is our first SEP Conference of the year! We are looking forward to talking with you about your child, celebrating their accomplishments, and making goals to help them progress. Please sign up for a time to meet with your child's teacher.
