This week is White Ribbon Week! The theme this year is I've Got The Power, digital citizenship for schools. Each day this week our students will learn a new lesson to help them with digital safety.

Monday: "I have the power to not view embarrassing pictures or share hurtful words." They will talk about having empathy in their classrooms. During Lunch they got a "power bar" after saying the statement.

Tuesday: "I have the power to turn it off." They will be discussing I'm in charge of protecting me.

Wednesday: "I have the power to tell a trusted adult if something doesn't feel right."  They will be discussing that talking to an adult helps.

Thursday: "I have the power to ask before I download." They will be discussing not everything is what it appears to be.

Friday: I have the power to help my friends make safe choices online." Their discussions will be what I do influences others.

Each day during lunch the PTA with the help of Student Lighthouse will have an activity for the students. Check out our social media page for daily post during lunch.

Monday was also our parent meeting where those who atteneded recieved 5 power sheets to help them talk about digital safety at home. Stop by the office for your family copy!
