To everyone who came to the book fair and especially the Family Reading Night last week, thank you! The book fair always sends a happy buzz around the school, and the Family Reading Night was a blast! Take a look through the pictures to see the students who won posters from the book fair for wearing green/Wilson shirts or bracelets on Friday and families enjoying the Family Reading Night. A special thanks to the PTA for helping with the book fair, as well as Mrs. Draper and Mrs. Eckton joining them to help with the Family Reading Night!
Tomorrow (Wednesday) night is our Family Reading Night at the Scholastic book fair! From 5:00-7:00pm, come to the school gym, read books with your children, and get your family's name entered into a drawing for one of three gift baskets! In addition, every student who comes with an adult will have their name entered into a drawing for a free book! Along with that, for each student who attends this event, $1 will be given to that student's teacher to buy books for the classroom. It doesn't get better than that! Come on out and check out all the amazing books we have!
We would like to officially welcome Kelsey Gardner as our new school nurse! Mrs. Gardner has four children and two stepchildren, and she absolutely loves Italian food and chocolate! If given an hour of free time, Mrs. Gardner would read, relax in a bubble bath, and play with her kids. Her dream vacation is to go to Europe and visit many countries there. She loves fantasy and adventure books, including Harry Potter and Rick Riordan books. A fun fact about Mrs. Gardner is that she can say “I don’t know” in ten languages!
The first book fair of the school year is coming! Next week, September 19-23, the Scholastic Book Fair will be set up in the school gym. It will be open before and after school each day.
This Saturday, September 17th, from 7:00am to 12:00pm, there will be a free clothing event in the building across from Mt. Nebo Junior High (780 W 500 S, Payson). There will be a variety of clothes and sizes available for men, women, and children, and all of the clothing is free! If you or your family members are in need of clothes, please go to this great event!

Mrs. Terry's morning and afternoon kindergarten classes were so excited that Mr. Rawlings finally caught their gingerbread man! It was a looong four days! Mr. Rawlings is the hero for catching their gingerbread man. Thanks, Mr. Rawlings!
Congratulations to Morgan Dalley, a 5th grade student, on finding this week's lion paw in the school! She found the paw in the 5th/6th grade hallway as she walked to her specialties class. Good eye, Morgan!
We have a new Special Education teacher in our school, and his name is Blake Mecham. Mr. Mecham has been married for four years and has two children, Boston and Ella. He loves chicken alfredo, and his favorite dessert is cookie dough ice cream! He loves Star Wars books, and his dream car is a Dodge Viper. With an hour of free time, Mr. Mecham would go swimming. He can even hold his breath long enough to swim 50 meters at the bottom of the pool! If Mr. Mecham could go on any dream vacation, he would choose to go on a cruise to the Bahamas. Mr.
