Wilson Elementary is Turning 50!

Did your children attend Wilson? Did you attend Wilson yourself? Are you a supporter of Wilson Elementary? We want to include your recipe and memories in our cookbook! This cookbook will also include fun quotes from the students, nearly 600 delicious recipes, dividers designed by students, and a full history of the school, including pictures! It will be a great cookbook that you will want to keep for years.
Please take a few minutes to write down your favorite recipe and turn it in to the Wilson Elementary office located on the west side of the school. You can also email your recipe to us at wilsonlionscookbook@gmail.com. Please only submit 3 recipes per family.
***If you have a memory of Wilson, we would love to hear it! We will print your memories under your recipe in the cookbook. The deadline for all recipes will be December 11, 2009. Hurry fast! Be sure to include your name, or those of your children you want remembered. You may also include the years they attended. If you have any questions, you may also email us at the above address.
The cookbooks will go on sale in the spring, and will be our fundraiser this year to help the school get some much needed items! Thank you for all your help and support! Wilson Elementary PTA
Wilson Elementary Reflections Contest
Thu, 11/12/2009 - 16:42 | by bj.wrightThis year the theme for the refletions contest was "Beauty is. . ." and we certainly had some beautiful entries! The winners were announced at school on November 3rd and an open house was held later that night to showcase all the artwork. We would like to thank Hogi Yogi, Crest, and Covey Center for the Arts for donating prizes.
Students who were recognised for their accomplishments: Alycia Hunsaker, Maralee Nielson, Brianna Ortega, Kelton Kuhni, John Ledbetter, Alexis Warren, Paris Coleman, Kellie Dunn, Macyn Deuel, McKayla Jarvis, Isaac Leavitt, Alex Christensen, Shelby Scott, Wyatt Scott, Jillespany Nohr, and Brooklyn Peterson.
Wilson Elementary, It's Electric!

Lizbeth TinocoFifth-grade students at Wilson Elementary have recently been studying about electricity. While walking down the hallway you could see lights flashing and buzzers coming from Mrs. Kristy Litster's room. Students were able to build circuits out of nine-volt batteries, old Christmas lights, and electric powered buzzers. Safety Week at Wilson Elementary

Rhett Hyer is greeted by Officer Jered Taylor as he walks to school.The PTA sponsored safety week at Wilson Elementary. A lot of time and effort was put into reminding the students to be safe. Students created posters that were hung around the school. On Wednesday of safety week it was walk-to-school day. Students were greeted by local police officers, Payson High Cheerleaders, and several student athletes from BYU. Thank you Wilson PTA for all you do!
Dallin Poulsen, a Wilson School Hero

Dallin Poulsen standing by his mother, Shannon Poulsen Dallin Poulsen was presented an award recently for staying calm during an emergency. His mom, Shannon Poulsen, was injured and unable to call for help. Since his father was at work, Dallin quickly got to a phone called his dad to find out what to do. Shannon is now doing well, and avoided further complications because of Dallin’s quick thinking.
Wilson School 50 Cent Friday
Tue, 10/27/2009 - 10:58 | by bj.wrightDid you know Wilson School is turning 50? The PTA wants to buy a new sound system as a birthday present for the school. To help raise funds the PTA is holding a small store every Friday after school. All items cost 50 cents. There are many things available to purchase: popcorn, treats, pencils, bouncy balls, wristbands and more! There is a spending limit each week of $2.00 per student.
